Lanolin Lip Balm (Chapstick)

After our heritage sheep are sheared each spring, the lanolin is gently recovered from their wool — a natural, wax-like substance their bodies produce to protect their own skin from wind and weather. It’s the same circular byproduct of wool scouring that becomes our dryer balls, roving, and sponges. Nothing wasted.

Why lanolin for lips?

Lanolin is chemically similar to the sebum your own skin makes. That’s why it works the way it does: it forms a breathable, occlusive barrier that locks moisture in without the greasy, suffocating feel of petroleum-based balms — and without any of the synthetic fragrance, parabens, or microplastics those balms usually carry. It’s the gold standard for nursing mothers, working hands, dry winter skin — and especially for cracked, weather-worn lips.

What’s in it (and what isn’t)

100% organic sheep lanolin, cocoa butter, mango butter, beeswax. That’s the entire ingredient list. No petroleum. No synthetic fragrance. No parabens. No flavorings. Small-batch, hand-poured in eco-friendly packaging on our farm in Burlington, NC.
