Batts:
Wonderful for all your crafting needs. Our Navajo Batts are preferred by most crafters. They wet felt easily and beautifully. Let us also not forget that wool is the best filler for quilts. Why spend all the time on a handmade quilt and then fill it with synthetic fiber! Wool insulates and breathes and is without a doubt the best option for quilting. Our Navajo Batts are also being used favorably by fiber artist as canvas for their creations. It has been said by many of our customers that the Navajo Churro wool responds most favorably for their needs.
Our Batts are 36"x45" and $36 per sheet plus S&H.
Yarn
Our fleeces are collected after shearing in late winter early spring. We skirt them heavily, choose carefully for only the best options. We then send our beautiful array of textures and shades off to be processed into yarn. We have chosen "processors" carefully so we can keep each unique fleece, "unique". The fleece comes back to us washed in only biodegradable, all natural soap, and spun into a variety of weights (mostly sport) and kept with the identity of the sheep responsible for growing such healthy wool.
This is a perfect example of a picture not doing it justice...look at these natural shades...the colors of the sheep...NO Dyes! At the farmers market I tell folks that and they look at me with amazement. The black shown here is black as black can get...Midnight Walker is the name of the sheep.

Here we have Kona, and Kona's wool...a beautiful sienna brown. Interesting tid bit on Kona; Kona is actually white with on BIG brown spot.

Each skein is 250 yards and the prices range from $17 to $35 depending on the weight. Each skein also comes to you with the name and photo of the sheep responsible for your wool. While many of our Navajo Churro sheep give us wool/yarn that can easily be worn next to your skin others offer a coarser wool offering a perfect option for weaving, outer wear or felting projects. Please feel free to contact us with questions.
