2 ounce balls of our roving made from our Corriedale, Dorset and Navajo Churro wool.
Corriedale is known as the American Merino, offering the gentle skin feel of Merino with the added strength and durability of the Corriedale.
Dorset is known for its downy and springy texture and ideal for knitted projects.
The Navajo Churro is a rare breed making it a novelty in addition to it being an excellent wool for felting. The Navajo Churro wool is also traditionally used for felted, knitted and woven outerwear.
Great for felting, spinning, batts for quilting, doll making, pillow stuffing and more.
Our wool never comes in contact with harsh chemicals, and is washed with surfactant free, all natural soap!
Our sheep are loved and their healthy wool is a byproduct of healthy sheep.
Our shearer is renowned Kevin Ford, author of the beautiful book, Shearing Day. Hand shearers are extremely rare, as electric shearers are the common tool of today. We feel fortunate to have him come each year, and the nearly lost art of hand shearing is a joy to watch.
This wool roving is made with wool fleece that is a sustainable, humane byproduct of our healthy sheep and their quiet, gentle hair cut.
We offer three different breeds of wool for our roving.
Corriedale. White and Brown
Dorset. White
