Each balls is hand made so colors and designs will vary.  Our wool is never dyed except with natural, plant based dyes like beets and onion skins and only washed with biodegradable soap so you can rest assured your furry friend will be playing with an all natural product.  From all reports the balls have lasted hours,months, to years depending on your pet.  For you feline folk, some folks have suggested "cat nipping" the scent but reports are the cats don't seem to need extra incentive.  As for dogs, well, we can say first hand wool is an irresistible material.  We handle the wool very little so not to remove the natural sheep essence they find so yummy.

2-2 1/2 " wool balls for small dogs and cats, 3-4" wool balls for medium size dogs, and 4 -5" balls for dogs weighing over 50lbs. Please be aware, as with any toy, the size of the ball should be larger than your pet could swallow.

Why?

Our wool pet toys are felted from 100% wool.  We use only wool grown on our farm and other small pre-qualified farms.  Using wool from our farm and other farms that meet our standards enables us to offer a much higher quality control.  We can safely say, "no chemicals, no dyes...just natural, humanely raised wool"

We've grown to a wonderful cottage industry of folks making each ball by hand, with love and care.  

Lastly but just as importantly, we are supporting the US wool farmers! Although the wool industry in the USA is small in comparison, we are mighty.  As US wool farmers we raise healthy sheep that produce beautiful healthy wool.  We are committed to the sheep and the US sheep farmers!

I had a customer once squeeze some of our yarn and reply, "healthy sheep".  The two go hand in hand.
